Compton Hill Water Tower Concert Series featuring Gloria Attoun and Michael Bauermeister
Every third Saturday of the month, the Compton Hill Water Tower is open to the public from 7pm-midnight. This Saturday features music by Gloria Attoun and Michael Bauermeister. Admission to enter the tower is $5 (cash only) per person for adults; children 5 & under are free. Water Tower & Park Society Members are free. (You must present your Water Tower Society membership card.) 198 steps to the top with chairs to rest on the way up if needed.
Michael and Gloria have been playing music together since they were teenagers and when they found they both had a love for roots music and knew the same songs, they decided to keep doing it and have been playing ever since. Michael and Gloria bring to the stage – guitars, dobro, mandolin, banjo, bazouki, harmonica, in addition to lots of original songs along with some well-chosen covers—-all sung with tight harmonies that come from singing together for years. They write funny, witty and touching songs about things like martians, dogs, home, love, unity and other interesting topics and sing them with clarity and humor. Gloria and Michael also perform with the bands Augusta Bottoms Consort and The Texas Giants.
!!! Space is LIMITED to 25 at a time on the viewing deck !!!
*The water tower is a historic landmark & predates the ADA act of July 26, 1990.*
